The last time we pitched to an investor was in 2021, valued at $125K. The investor is a silent investor that is not active. Investors have been fully paid and I own 93% of the business.
We are the only premium ear plugs brand in Singapore and perhaps even Asia. Many of the top ear plugs competitor come from US or Europe with bigger marketing budget. Other than launching on Kickstarter, I never did any paid marketing. All sales are through organic channels or adhoc events.
The right buyer would be someone who knows how to scale an online business with distribution channels. Who know how to do online marketing. To take a premium brand and push it to market.
Factory is based in China where they keep the remaining stock (1000 pieces), I have about 500 -700 ear plugs here in Singapore that takes little space (no rental of space needed).
My operating costs are less than $1500 per year (the basic such as accounting fees and website maintenance fee) so I kept this business cause it's profitable.
Fully online business www.attenu8.co to service international customers. Locally I'm on Lazada and Carousell with 5 star ratings and hundreds of positive review
I own the business 93%.
Another designer owns 1% and the investor owns 6%. I'm happy to close the business and you start a brand new one, so I can sell the rights to selling. Or, I'm happy to hold a small share in the business to help with local operations or scaling with the existing knowledge and contacts I have.
Margins are about 70%-80%
Yearly sales are not much because it's organic - $20-$30K per year, but again, because I don't do marketing and operating costs are low, it's already profitable as a side income for me.
Asking price includes the stock that I own, which is already worth $15k-$20k.
